Honda to Increase Presence in Indian Auto Market
by Anthony Fontanelle

The Asian continent is fast becoming a huge market for automobiles. While some European markets seem to be slowing down and the U.S. auto sales is hampered by housing problems, Asian countries are increasingly becoming a favorite of car manufacturers. In fact, China and Japan are only next to the United States in terms of auto sales.
Aside from these two countries, another Asian country is fast becoming a hub for car manufacturers. India is now the fourth biggest car market in the Asian continent and car companies are taking notice. Not so long ago, General Motors announced their interest in the growing auto market of the country. Aside from General Motors, the alliance of Nissan and Renault has already started testing the Indian auto market. Following their steps towards the high ranks is the second largest Japanese car manufacturer Honda.
The company announced that they will be manufacturing and selling compact cars in the region by the year 2009. The company’s decision to market smaller cars in the country is due to the fact that the three-quarters of all the cars sold in India are compact cars. General Motors, Volkswagen, Nissan, and Renault have also announced that they will be manufacturing small cars for the country. Honda’s small cars to be sold in India will be built on a plant to be constructed in Rajasthan. The company reported that they expect to spend $728 million in the construction of the new assembly facility.
Honda’s announcement to enter the small car market in India is fueled by the prediction that the country’s demand for small cars will continue to increase in the near future. It has been estimated that by the year 2016, annual car sales in India will reach 3 million units. This predicted car sales will be divided by car manufacturers such as Suzuki and Hyundai, both of which have an already established buyer base in the country, as well as other brands like Nissan, Renault, General Motors, Volkswagen, Honda and other domestic and international brands who are willing to invest in India.
Although it is speculated that Honda will be manufacturing small cars, the Japanese car company is yet to name what model they will be producing at the Rajasthan production plant. Upon completion, the assembly facility will be expected to produce 60,000 vehicles annually. By the year 2014, Honda plans to expand the facility and increase its production capacity to 200,000 per year. The facility will handle all the processes handled by a full time automobile assembly plant. Although Honda is yet to announce the full scale of jobs to be handled by the facility it is expected that the brake assembly for vehicles will be one of the tasks of the plant.
To meet the expected production output, the new plant will be employing 4,000 workers. This means that Honda will not only benefit from the growing market in India but they will also be helping the country’s economy.

Trying to Sort Out the Confusing Names and Product Lines of Hyundai & Honda
by Terry Bolton
Once thought of as an italic logo rip-off company of Honda, Hyundai is now beginning to establish its own reputation as a quality car company. Using the image of Honda as the provider of the most reliable vehicles, Hyundai has since styled its own reputation for reliability. Hyundai has become a serious competitor in the American car marketplace. In recent years, Hyundai has even begun appearing with Honda in the top ranks of customer satisfaction surveys. Hyundai & Honda seem to be forever intertwined in similarity since Hyundai struck the American marketplace. How has Hyundai done it?
Constant Investment in the Future
From the beginning, Hyundai has had a large budget for innovation and improvement in their products. They find out what customers and non-customers find most dissatisfying about their cars and make planning decisions to attempt to fix their designs so that all of those people will be potential customers in the future.
2006 Hyundai & Honda: The First Real Quality Challenge
In 2006, Hyundai first showed itself to be more than a cheap car rip-off of the Honda brand. The release of the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon to compete with the 2006 Honda Civic sent shocks through the imported automobile industry. The 2006 Hyundai Tiburon cost about $4,000 less than the 2006 Honda Civic, even though the Hyundai Tiburon came standard with more features than the Honda Civic. Additionally, the Hyundai Tiburon had tinted glass, heated exterior mirrors, and performed at 2 MPG better than the Civic.
2007 Hyundai & Honda: Small Car Showdown
In 2007, Hyundai made waves by filling its Elantra full of features at less money than the Civic with only the most basic features. Such features as radio controls in the steering wheel, built-in Bluetooth connectivity, and XM satellite radio options were built into the Elantra. Even more impressive was the way Hyundai & Honda differed in warranty. Hyundai showed so much confidence in its Elantras to provide a five-year, 60,000 mile warranty, while the Civic only had a basic three-year, 36,000 mile warranty. Many also reported increased satisfaction with the new seating comfort and space for back-seat passengers.
4) 2006 Hyundai Tiburon GS vs 2006 Honda Civic Si 6-Spd MT
One of the first glaring differences between the 2006 Hyundai Tiburon and the 2006 Honda Civic is the price tag, where the Tiburon costs about $4,000 less at $16,095. Both vehicles offer access to a standard CD player, yet consumers have the option to also enjoy a cassette player in the Hyundai. While halogen headlights come standard on both cars, the Hyundai provides standard fog lights while Honda only offers this as an extra option. Other features of the Hyundai Tiburon that have impressed buyers include heated exterior mirrors, tinted glass, and 24 MPG (compared to 22 MPG with the Honda).
Overall, Hyundai has made great strides in regards to their overall features, interior, and beyond - making it a viable competitor in the car industry. This has caused automobile leaders (like Honda) to break a sweat.

Honda Gets It Right With New Clarity - Sort Of :: New Honda CRV 2009
by GARKO
Honda’s new Clarity IS positively motion in the most optimum direction but others have already beaten it to the finish line. It is a saner pollution solution but there is an even better pollution solution. It is an historic milestone from a big player in the car making industry. And for all these positives which I will now share some information on, I applaud it!The mid-size Clarity is expected to (reportedly) return an EPA-confirmed sixty eight MPG. The Clarity also will ace federal safety standards, start in temperatures as low as 22 degrees below zero and survive trips out to Las Vegas (high heat). Refueling is ludicrous as it requires that you have a big and heavy natural gas powered home unit, which, as it runs on natural gas, seems to defeat the whole purpose or that you live near Santa Monica, Torrance or Irvine. For now. However, the per-tank range is 270 miles. The Clarity will be coming to a Honda dealer near you in Summer 2008 (provided that you live in or near one of those three cities), Honda will be happy to lease you a Clarity for “just” $600 a month. The FCX Clarity integrates Honda’s V Flow stack in combination with a new design smaller and powerful lithium ion battery and a single hydrogen storage tank to power the automobile’s electric drive engine. The main source of power is the fuel cell stack. Hydrogen mixes with oxygen from the atmosphere in the fuel cell stack, and energy from the reaction is transformed into electric power which then propels the vehicle. Another energy source is generated through the conservation of kinetic energy from slowing down and braking the vehicle (known as regenerative braking), and that is stored along with surplus energy from the fuel cell in the lithium ion battery pack, and supplements power from the fuel cell, when it is required. The only exhaust from this car is water. The distribution of the new Honda will be for starters only in Southern California. This is because they do not have sufficient hydrogen refueling stations set up yet in other areas which are sufficient for keeping the car running. These stations compare to gas stations, only they are specifically for use by vehicles powered by a fuel cell. Honda is advising potential buyers that they should not plan to drive the vehicle outside of Southern California. It’s a shame that only one hundred Clarity’s will be made available to drivers in the Los Angeles area. But I suppose for those one hundred drivers they will be in a position where the Jones’s ain’t gonna be able to keep up with them!So the question becomes… if you are not one of the fortunate few that a. resides in specific parts of Los Angeles b. have $600/month easily available c. can’t compute the numbers and realize that they will be paying two or three times as much for a car in order to save not more than about $100-200/month on gas. d. Don’t mind driving around with a hydrogen tank in your car. (In fact, mark my words, I am sad to have to look into my crystal ball and project that one of these Clarity vehicles will get involved in an accident that leaves a crater on some Los Angeles freeway and the thought of a hydrogen fueled automobile will be have a lable on it forever like a 1973 Pinto so that the idea will be abandoned). I usually rebuke cynicism but…Ok, so…then what do you do? Well there is a solution that you can install in any engine, even yours, at very minimal cost, using odds and end hardware store items and will make it so your current vehicle will do most of the things that the new Honda Clarity will do but with no inconvenience and without the risk of driving around with a hydrogen “bomb” (storage tank). You can acquire the information right now!If you are unindoctrinated, WATER4GAS is sharing information at a low price which consumers can use in their garage or wherever to put together a small device which infuses hydrogen into the fuel/air mixture that their car or truck runs on. The process makes smaller particles out of the ones that the engine burns as fuel. So the engine gets to use a lot more of the gas. By doing this you can reasonably expect to improve your gas mileage by 12%. But many are obtaining thirty to fifty percent improvement or significantly more. Those particles “musta” been pretty “blankin’” huge in some engines before. But with WATER4GAS they are made usable so you can improve your gas mileage. It also helps to lower emissions significantly. This information has been purchased by over NINE THOUSAND people already and happy members number about 99%! So how about you?

Honda Civic Forums and Honda Forums Offer Great Information
by Kathryn Lang

The Honda Civic is a small car that offers big space. A quick look around the internet will show you that there are thousands of people talking about the big “little car” on Honda forums, Honda Civic forums and other chat rooms at all hours of the day.
The Honda Civic has always been an economically savvy vehicle. When it first came on the market with the slogan “it will get you where you are going” the low price and well-rounded construction of the Civic made it a winner. Many of the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums have owners from the first introductions up to the latest models. It seems that when people get into a Honda Civic they just don’t want to ever get out.
Today the Honda Civic continues to be innovative and economically conscious and their timing couldn’t be any better - as many of the comments on Honda Civic forums and other automotive sites will attest to this fact.
As the consumers on the Honda forums and Honda Civic forums have become more aware of the ecology and as conservation is becoming more of a mainstream attitude, Honda Civic provides an answer to many of the rising needs. In recent years, the Honda Civic has raised the bar for going green with the Hybrid and the GX NGV.
The Honda Civic Hybrid combines traditional automobile technology with electric technology to get an estimated 45 mpg. It also offers a lower emissions rating than most vehicles on the road today. Many of the Honda Civic forums have owners that boast of the Hybrid’s performance and its comfort.
The Honda Civic GX NGV takes green to the next level. It runs on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and offers nearly zero emissions. About the only complaint that I stumbled across on the Honda forums or the Honda Civic forums are that the gas tank capacity is too small.
America has shown a continued love for the Honda Civic, in turn it has consistently been one of the top compact cars in the country. It is a top choice for buyers looking for the best new model and is praised on the many Honda forums and Honda Civic forums for its surprising comfort and power. With its high level of reliability it is also a great choice for used buyers as well.
The Honda Civic will likely continue to help lead the industry with innovations. As it continues to reach for the highest standards, the Honda Civic will also keep its lead in the hearts of its loyal fans.
